Day trip Cala Niu Blau - Cala Pada

Looking for a day full of authentic spots with white sandy beaches and funky beach bars near Santa Eularia? Then we recommend the beautiful bays of Cala Niu Blau and Cala Pada. Park your car near Babylon Beach Club (just outside the center of Santa Eularia) and walk from that point to the various beaches.

Babylon Beach Bar

A nice place to start your day trip with a tasty & healthy breakfast overlooking the sea. Or you can relax on a lounger and enjoy the laid-back vibes with a homemade juice or smoothie. They also have a boutique and a great kids area, equipped with swings, sandpit, climbing wall and rope course. More info, opening hours and reservation:

Cala Niu Blau

This is a beautiful and wide sandy beach. Because it’s a relatively quiet beach, also in the summer months, we like to come here to relax with our daughter. Around the beach there are many pine trees that provide some shade and coolness. You can take a refreshing shower and rent sunbeds, umbrellas or pedal boats.

Just behind the “instagram-worthy” swing on the beach, you’ll find the funky and colorful bar Soulgood. We like this nice and authentic place that offers very nice sea views. There’s a cool atmosphere and you can eat freshly made salads and sandwiches and enjoy the home-made cola and cocktails. On Sunday afternoon they offer their home-made paella at a very attractive price. A must visit.

Pura Vida

A little further on the beach you find Pura Vida restaurant and beachclub where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with your feet in the sand. The snack bar is even open the entire day for a small and quick bite. On Mondays and Wednesdays you can enjoy the live music performances or calm beats of the DJ.

Cala Pada

From Cala Niu Blau we walked further on the left beach side to Cala Pada.

At Cala Pada, with it’s beautiful wide sandy beach, shallow water and wooden pier, it’s wonderful to stay with the kids. While lying on the beach you can enjoy the beautiful views of the bay. If the wind comes from the south, lovers of water sports will enjoy windsurfing here. Because this beach is also popular with people staying at Cala Pada Resort, it’s a bit busier here.

The Acrobosc climbing park is a fun activity for children, full of challenges. It’s situated just behind the beach of Cala Pada. Great to spend an afternoon here. There are different courses for children from 3 years (beginners course) and for children from 11 years (the most difficult ones). Professional and very friendly staff who give good safety instructions.
