The best Ibiza hippy markets

Who says Ibiza, says hippies. The free-spirited hippies mainly gained their income through the hippie markets. That’s why Ibiza is known for its many pleasant markets with typical Ibiza and artisanal products.

You will find several Ibiza hippy markets in the neighborhood of Casa Zita. Tip: combine your visit with one of the beautiful nearby beaches.

Es Canar hippy market (formerly known as Punta Arabi)

The Es Canar hippy market in Punta Arabi, existing since 1973, is the largest on the island with around 400 to 500 stalls. You will find all kinds of artworks, handmade leather goods, beautiful jewelry and clothing in all kinds of styles. The various musicians, live statues and food & beverage outlets complete this pleasant market that is certainly worth a visit.

Opening hours: Wednesday 10am – 6pm (April till October)

Las Dalias

A real authentic hippie market. Smaller than the other markets, but still nice to visit. You will find a lot of products that are (hand)made on site. Nice to combine with a lunch or cocktail at “The Giri Café” which is on the market square.

Sant Juan (Sant Joan de Labritja) artisanale market (Temporarily closed)

Cala Llonga hippy market

A typical after beach market with lots of handmade items. You can also enjoy a live performance or drink a cocktail in one of the beach bars. In the meantime the children can play on the children’s playground next to the market.

Location: next to the beach of Cala LLonga, Ctra. Cala Llonga, 135, 07849 Cala Llonga
Parking: you can go by foot, from Casa Zita it’s only 800 meters.
Opening hours: Thursday evening 6:30pm – 11:30pm (May till October)

Mercado Cala Llenya

Nice market and very popular with the hippies. You can combine this with a morning walk at the beach. The performances usually start between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. Check the facebook page of Mercado Cala Llenya to watch the program.

Street market Santa Eularia

Location: Promenade Paseo de ´s Alamera
Parking: you can park at Passeig del Port for a reasonable price

Every day except Wednesday and Sunday 10am – 10pm (July and August)
Every day except Wednesday and Sunday 10am – 2pm (May, June, September and October)
